Binding without moving the source
A conduit is a door, not a new home for the data. If you have to migrate to use the desk, we built the wrong thing.

Kiln Room asked if they needed to move mail into Zeus. They did not. They bound the mail rail, named the scope, and left the archive where it was.
The mistake we see
Teams treat “integration” as a new system of record. Then they spend a quarter arguing about where the truth lives. The desk should never win that argument, because it should never enter it.
Scope on paper
Before OAuth, write the sentence: “The desk may append a harbor row. It may not delete one.” If the sentence is long, the binding is wrong.
Cutting
When they cut the calendar door, in-flight rails marked drift and stopped. Nothing in the calendar moved. That is the test. If cutting a conduit requires an export, you accidentally migrated.
