Writing a brief the desk can run
If you cannot name the trigger, the relays, the holds, and the seal, you are not ready to file.

North Attic’s first brief said “handle the handoff.” The desk did nothing useful, which was correct. The second brief named a trigger, three relays, one hold, and a seal. That one ran for a month.
Night order, not slogan
- When the room closes, copy notes into the attic sheet.
- Park a draft in the quiet channel.
- Hold for Elena before anything is sent.
“Use your judgment” is how closed loops sneak in. The desk does not have judgment. You do.
Ugly is allowed
A brief can be ugly and honest. It cannot be elegant and vague. Dawn replay will tell you which steps were theater. Cut those. Do not decorate them.
